Troubleshooting: No output from SD9 to some or all of the PA.
This will be a brief overview of how to determine if your amps are passing audio. This will apply to D&B amps (i.e. D6, D12, D80) and L' Acoustics amps (i.e. LA8, LA4X, LA12X).
Possible Causes
- Amps are muted
- Master is muted
- PA matrixes are muted
Possible Cause 1 - Check to ensure that the amps aren't muted
On a D&B amp, FLASHING LIGHTS implies that the amp IS MUTED.
On an L' Acoustics amp, LIT LIGHTS implies that the amp is MUTED.
To unmute the amps, simply press the mute buttons located on the front of the amp.
D&B amp:
LIT = UNMUTED
FLASHING = MUTED
L' Acoustics amp:
LIT= MUTED
NO LIGHT= UNMUTED
Possible Cause 2 - Ensure that the Master (LR) isn't muted at the console
On our standard SD9 show file, you can find the "Master" fader on the first layer, third bank on the right side of the console.
On an X32, the master is located on the fader farthest to the right. It also could be labeled "LR".
Possible Cause 3 - Ensure that the PA matrixes aren't muted at the console
On our standard SD9 show file, you can find the pa matrixes on the first layer, fourth bank on the right side of the console.
