Troubleshooting: ETC Paradigm controller not working
The paradigm system allows for lighting system control when the MA console is not in use. It also is the processor for the control panels in the lobby and auditorium. If the panels are not working, this is an indication that the paradigm processor may need to be reset. This article will walk you through how to do this.
Possible Issues
- Processor needs to be reset.
Before you start:
- Ensure you have access to the Central Equipment Room (CER)
- If you are not comfortable with this process, please do not attempt it. Submit a ticket or reach out to Tech via Slack.
Paradigm Processor needs to be reset
1. Locate the Paradigm processor. This unit lives in CER and looks like this:
2. Ideally, the screen will read System OK, however in this instance it may read Error on the screen. This is when you will open the door up and see two modules.
3. The ACP or Architectural Control Processor, is what drives the lighting system when the console is not in use. Simply pull that unit out, wait 10 seconds, push it back in.
Hopefully your issue was covered in this article. If none of these solutions worked and you continue to have issues, please submit a tech support ticket for further assistance. Thank you!
