Part 1 - Powering Ableton Rack
Powering Ableton Rack
- First locate the OCD case the Ableton Rack is stored in.
- Lay the case on its back with the OCD logo on the case facing up and remove the Ableton Rack from the OCD Case.
- Once you have the Ableton Rack out of the OCD Protector Case, go ahead and close the OCD Protector Case and set the Ableton Rack on top of the case (as pictured).
- Now take the Edison Cable out of the back of the case and plug that cable into your stage power.
- Now that you have power running to the Ableton Rack you should see power on the PlayAudio12 and the rack mount power supply.

Note: The Ableton computer can be plugged in to any of the outlets on the rack.
Part 2 - Connecting Inputs & Outputs
Disclaimer - Depending on your Ableton Rack you might have a different amount of Inputs & Outputs than what is shown here in this article.
- Start by connecting your ^LINK Click into the Ableton Rack.
- Take an XLR Cable and run that cable out of your ^Click Channel on your Audio Stage Rack. Then connect that cable into the Ableton Rack Port that’s labeled “LINK”.
Disclaimer - Depending on the way your Campus is setup you might have a different destination for your Outputs. You may either be plugging in your XLR Outputs to either a Stage Snake or an Audio Stage Rack.
- For the outputs, you will need (2) XLR Cables that are long enough to reach your output destination.
- Take (1) XLR Cable and go out of the LTC Port on the Ableton Rack and run that cable into the LTC Port on either your Stage Snake or your Audio Stage Rack.
- Take (1) XLR Cable and go out of the Click Port on the Ableton Rack and run that cable into the Click Port on either your Stage Snake or your Audio Stage Rack.
Disclaimer - For your 1/4 - XLR snake, you might have a different amount of cables than what’s shown in this article.
- Take the 1/4 - XLR snake out of the Ableton Rack and run those cables into your output destination.
Part 3 - Connecting to PlayAudio12 & Ableton
Disclaimer - Make sure you’re using the dongle that has been provided and tested for the Ableton Computer, otherwise you may run into audio clipping and or screeching through the PlayAudio12.
- Now that the Ableton Rack is powered on and all of the Inputs & Outputs are plugged in, plug in the Ableton Computer into the PlayAudio12. To do this, star by taking the USB-A to USB-B cable and plugging in the USB-A side into the dongle on your Computer.
- Take the USB-A to USB-B cable and plug the USB-B cable into the port labeled "Ableton" on the Ableton Rack.

Part 4 - Using the Click Switch
- Once your computer is connected to the PlayAudio12 and you’ve patched in your ^LINK click to the back of the Ableton Rack, you can now hear ^LINK Click and Local click by toggling between both clicks using the switch.
- To hear ^LINK Click toggle the switch to the left for ^LINK Click.
- To hear Local Click toggle the switch to right for Local Click.
Part 5 - Troubleshooting
Not Powering On

If you're not receiving power to the PlayAudio12, verify the Rack-Mount Power is plugged in and powered.
- Make sure the 9V Power Cable is plugged in all the way to the back of the PlayAudio12.
- Make sure the 9V Power Adapter for the PlayAudio12 is plugged into the Rack-Mount Power.
Not Hearing ^LINK Click
- Make sure Click Switch is switched to the left for ^LINK Click.
- Make sure Resi is powered on and is scrubbed to worship.
