Part 1 - Formatting the drive
- Connect the drive to the Resolume computer using the USB C cable.
- Open Disk Utility, select the drive, and click erase.
- In the next window, follow only one of the following instructions depending on your circumstance.
- If you have an existing visuals drive:
- Leave the name T7
- Change the format to Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
- If you do NOT have an existing visuals drive:
- Name the drive EC Visuals Content
- Change the format to Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Part 2 - Loading Content
- If you have an existing visuals drive:
- Connect both drives to the computer.
- Copy and paste the existing drive's folder to the new drive. This process usually takes 10-20 minutes.
- Once the copy and paste is completed, eject the old drive.
- Rename T7 to EC Visuals Content
- If you do NOT have an existing visuals drive:
- On the drive, create a new folder labeled 1_GlobalContentLibrary
- Open Good Sync and run a full sync of Resolume Content. This will likely take 10-12 hours so doing overnight works well. Just ensure the computer is connected to power.
Part 3 - Testing
-
If you have an existing visuals drive:
- After ejecting the old drive and renaming the new drive, open Good Sync and run the Reso Content job.
- If this does not work, open Staff Dashboard and run the Good Sync Jobs installer. Choose Pro Drive Cloud.
- If you do not have an existing visuals drive:
- You do not need to test with Good Sync since populating the content verified Good Sync's functionality.
Part 4 - Troubleshooting
- If you have any issues using Good Sync, open Staff Dashboard and run the Good Sync Jobs installer. Choose Pro Drive Cloud.
- If it still won't sync, double check spelling and formatting of the drive name and primary folder on the drive.
