Under "Security Methods," located on the right side of your screen, scroll down until you see "Phone" and press the "Set Up" button next to it. Follow Okta's prompts to set up your phone number with MFA. Once completed, you may close the tab in your browser. Best Practices When setting passwords, whether for your Okta account or on any other employee-related websites or applications, please set unique, strong passwords to defend against hackers. Here are some tips when setting passwords: Make sure your passwords are at least 12 characters long and contain letters, numbers, and special characters. When you create a password on your own, use random characters, but don't follow easy-to-recognize patterns—e.g. "qwert" or "12345." Avoid using similar passwords that change only a single word or character. Don't use any personally identifiable information in your passwords—e.g. date of birth, year of marriage, name of the street you live on, name of your pet. When in doubt, use a password generator, such as one on LastPass, to create random, unique, strong passwords. Use a password manager, such as LastPass, to manage, store, and protect your passwords.
