How To: Transferring files through Cyberduck
This article will show and explain how to use Cyberduck to transfer files to the Switcher and T2.

Before you start:
- Ensure all devices are powered on.
- The computer with Cyberduck should have wifi turned off and only an Ethernet connection active.
Part 1 - Overview
Using Cyberduck is an easy and quick way to transfer files over the network to both the T2 and the Switcher. This process involves dragging and dropping files from Finder into the Cyberduck file navigator. In addition to reading this article, it is recommended that you go through training with your Production Director or Production Leader before attempting to transfer files.
Part 2 - File Transfer to the Switcher
Step 1 - Open Cyberduck and navigate to the bookmarks page. Click the "clock" icon in the upper left.
Step 2 - Initiate the transfer of the desired file from ProDrive to the Switcher
- In Cyberduck, open the switcher bookmark and navigate to the USB drive.
- Drag the file from ProDrive and drop it in the desired folder on the Switcher USB drive.
- The Transfer window will open and display the transfer progress. Single files transfer almost immediately.
Part 3 - File Transfer to the T2
Step 2 - Initiate the transfer of the desired file from ProDrive to the T2.
- In Cyberduck, open the T2 bookmark and navigate to the USB drive.
- Drag the file from ProDrive and drop it in the desired folder on the T2.
- The Transfer window will open and display the transfer progress.
- Once the transfer is complete, the video will then transcode on the T2 and appear in the transfer window.
- When fully imported to the T2, the file can be added to a playlist.
Part 4 - Troubleshooting
Cyberduck cannot access one of the devices.
- Verify wifi is off and the computer being used has an active Ethernet connection.
- Confirm the T2/Switcher is powered on with active internet.
- Quit and restart Cyberduck.
Cyberduck is not configured on the computer being used.
- Follow the steps in this article to establish that configuration.
